The Cyber Anarchy Tactical Toolkit

The assumption we make is that most people are not inherently lazy, they've just been dealt a bad hand, so if people had the right set of tools, they could pull themselves up by the bootstraps, and create a better environment. The areas we're focused on are the key areas in which fascist attack in order to subjugate the will of the people: Finance, Organization, Communication, Spirit...

It's easy to complain about the current state of the world, and the complaints are valid, but when you ask someone why they don't do something about it, the answer usually is some derivative of "There's nothing I can do, the whole system is rigged, they're too powerful".

It's not difficult to imagine why people come to this conclusion. The first thing you should do when you find yourself in a toxic environment is to remove yourself, isolate yourself so you can do some damage control and heal, in everyday life terms, this would mean quitting your job, staying at home, maybe staying in your mountain home away from people, where it's quiet enough for your to focus on yourself. But nowadays this sort of strategy is unthinkable, you don't even own your home let alone have another mountain retreat you can escape to. Who's going to pay the rent and the bills? From there you might be one of those people that think they should give in, at least for a little while, play the game, and then become a monk in their 50s, only to realize that the system is so bad that you're more likely to still be where you are by the time you retire if not in an even worse position. Therefore the time to act is as soon as possible. You don't need to change your life over night, but you should put in a bit of work towards that on a daily basis, and it should be more than contemplative action.

So let's assume you decided to take this approach, and wanted to start with gaining autonomy over your basic life needs: Shelter, Food, and Water. It makes sense to engage in the system until you can own your own home. By home ownership here, we refer to home owned without a mortgage. Naturally, to get to that stage, one needs money, at least in the current system. To get that money you'll need to start a business. Granted we're making a lot of blanket statements here, but what we're doing is playing the current games to get to our exit, so we don't need to think too deeply about what money is, what value is, and why we "need" to start a business.

Starting a business is not easy, even though it's what we've doing for thousands of years, so you'd assume there would be a straightforward playbook by now. What's even more difficult is sustaining a business. And since most businesses nowadays will be either partially or fully digital to remain competitive, you'll need to find way around having to pay someone rent over your digital infrastructure. If you want something as simple as a website that displays products that you've developed offline, you'll still need to pay someone like Amazon, Google, or Microsoft for the compute, storage, and networking resources on a per second basis. You don't own your digital solutions, nor the infrastructure in which its running, and at any point those corporations can lock you out, lock you in, or steal your work. Those practices are completely legal, but legal doesn't necessarily mean ethical, which brings us to our next point, which is ability for you to dictate the legal and governmental framework in which your businesses operate. Capitalism, Socialism, Communism, Democracies, Autocracies... those are all just theories, attempts at solving for the problems of building the environment in which we operate, at the heart of all of them is the need to coordinate and experiment in order to move towards the environment we're trying to build. Regardless of which system you operate under, nowadays most people feel that they've been left out of politics, even if you live under a self proclaimed democracy, for you to really have a productive voice in the system, you will need to know what's going on, understand the context, trust the communications, and trust that whatever system you're using is not rigged.

The projects described in this section are attempts at solving for the different problems proposed here. Business Maps is a way for you to start a business, Doom Box is a way for you to own your infrastructure running your business, Cyber Deck is a way for you to own the tools needed to build and maintain that infrastructure, and the Unshittification Party is a way for you to get involved again in building the political and economic environment in which you and your businesses operate.
